James Baroud Space Medium Roof Tent – Premium Comfort with Headroom to Spare
Discover the James Baroud Space—the high-ceiling luxury hard shell rooftop tent that pairs robust durability with elevated everyday comfort. The James Baroud Space Medium is the hard shell rooftop tent of choice for UK overlanders who refuse to compromise on space, comfort, or quality. Built for all-season adventures, this premium roof tent combines exceptional strength with standout vertical space—making it ideal for taller campers or anyone who values extra room to move inside.
The standout feature of the James Baroud Space is its expanded internal height of up to 145 cm (at the rear)—far more than typical hard shell tents. This added space makes it easier to sit upright, change clothes, or stretch out, making it perfect for taller users or couples seeking more freedom inside. No more cramped mornings or hunched evenings—just open, airy comfort from dusk till dawn.
Constructed from multi-layer, UV-stabilised fibreglass and high-performance TenCate aluminised fabric, the tent is fully waterproof, wind-resistant up to 120 km/h, and thermally insulated. Built to withstand rain, wind, or blazing sun from the Lake District to the Scottish Highlands.
Features:
-
Generous Head & Foot Room: Thanks to its unique sloped front roof design, it offers up to 145 cm internal height at the rear—ideal for sitting up or changing comfortably inside
-
Fast Setup in Seconds: Gas-strut assisted opening allows one person to deploy the tent in under 10 seconds and close it quickly too
-
All-Weather Strength: Shell made of four UV‑coated fibreglass layers and robust TenCate canvas; fully wind‑ and waterproof, and built to endure up to 120 km/h winds
-
Panoramic 180º Views: Three wide doors and mesh-lined windows offer sweeping views, great airflow, and insect protection
-
Solar Ventilation Fan: Silent fan powered by integrated solar panel ensures continuous airflow for fresh, condensation‑free air 24/7

After being let down by a cheap online tent, I decided to go with Tuff-Trek and wow — what a difference. This gear is proper rugged. We’ve taken it through the Highlands and back, and it still looks brand new. Top service too.

Tuff-Trek sorted us out with a 270 awning and annex and it’s been a game-changer for our overlanding rig. Everything’s well made and fits like a glove. Their advice was honest and no-nonsense, which I really appreciated.

I didn’t expect a rooftop tent to be this comfortable, but the TT-03 Skytop blew me away. Easy to put up, loads of space inside, and surprisingly cosy even in colder nights. Massive respect to the Tuff-Trek crew.
