The TUFF-TREK® Ultralite2 XL Roof Tent is our newest and lightest-weight soft-top family roof tent, engineered specifically for vars and modern vehicles with lower roof load ratings — without compromising comfort, durability, or year-round usability. It is one of the lightest genuine canvas family roof tents available in the UK

Featuring a brand-new lightweight construction, premium genuine polycotton ripstop canvas, and a curved roof design for improved rain shedding, the Ultralite introduces a fresh design language to the TUFF-TREK® range. From stargazing twin SkyWindows to a plush memory foam mattress and integrated LED lighting, this tent is built to punch well above its weight.

At just 63 kg net, the Ultralite XL is still within the roof load rating for most cars, SUVs, crossovers, and lighter 4×4s — making family roof-top camping more accessible than ever.

If you need an even lighter option for small cars then our standard 1.3m Ultralite is just 50kg!

The optional Lower Annex Room is a useful but lightweight 3x sided room, giving you somewhere to dress or sit if needed. 

For winter camping we do a specific new Thermal Liner and Storm Cover too!
