Does it need to attach to my roof rack?
The mounting brackets anchor it to your roof rack or heavy-duty roof bars, but the awning itself is self-supporting on its own integrated legs once open — it doesn't hang off the vehicle for its weight.

Yes — the optional wall pack zips on to turn it into a draft-free enclosed room, with standard or tapered wall height options.
